Money laundering is the act of concealing the transformation of profits from illegal activities and corruption into ostensibly “legitimate” assets. The dilemma of illicit activities is accounting for the origin of the proceeds of such activities without raising the suspicion of law enforcement agencies. Accordingly, considerable time and effort is put into devising strategies which enable the safe use of those proceeds without raising unwanted suspicion. Implementing such strategies is generally called money laundering. After money has been suitably laundered or “cleaned”, it can be used in the mainstream economy for accumulation of wealth, such as acquisitions of properties, or otherwise spent. Law enforcement agencies of many jurisdictions have set up sophisticated systems in an effort to detect suspicious transactions or activities, and many have set up international cooperative arrangements to assist each other in these endeavours.
In a number of legal and regulatory systems, the term money laundering has become conflated with other forms of financial and business crime, and is sometimes used more generally to include misuse of the financial system (involving things such as securities, digital currencies, credit cards, and traditional currency), including terrorism financing and evasion of international sanctions. Most anti-money laundering laws openly conflate money laundering (which is concerned with source of funds) with terrorism financing (which is concerned with destination of funds) when regulating the financial system.
Some countries treat obfuscation of sources of money as also constituting money laundering, whether it is intentional or by merely using financial systems or services that do not identify or track sources or destinations. Other countries define money laundering in such a way as to include money from activity that would have been a crime in that country, even if the activity was legal where the actual conduct occurred.

Income Support is an income-related benefit in the United Kingdom for some people who are on a low income. Claimants of Income Support may be entitled to certain other benefits, for example, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Child Benefit, Carer’s Allowance, Child Tax Credit and help with health costs. A person with savings over £16,000 cannot get Income Support, and savings over £6,000 affect how much Income Support can be received. Claimants must be between 16 and Pension Credit age, work fewer than 16 hours a week, and have a reason why they are not actively seeking work (caring for a child under 5 years old or someone who receives a specified disability benefit).

Success With Facebook Ads

By now you’ve either tried Facebook advertising or you’re about to. Here are a few tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way to get my ads noticed and clicked on for the least amount of my advertising dollars…

Success With Facebook Ads

1. Use an awesome picture. What’s the first thing a Facebook user notices about your ad? The picture, of course. Use only the best, highest quality images you can find that are relevant to your headline. For example, if you’re running an ad for jewelry, choose a photo of a gorgeous pendant or ring. If you’re advertising dating, use sexy ladies if you’re targeting men, and handsome hunks if you’re targeting women.

2. Target your ads to small groups. Rather than target an ad to women aged 18 to 45, take the time to target to smaller groups so you can test your results, such as women aged 18-21, 22-25 and so forth. By finding your prime targeted groups, you’ll achieve the greatest click through rates and the biggest bang for your buck.

3. Focus the ad. That is, target it to one thing and one thing only. Facebook ads are small – you don’t have the space to advertise the 5 benefits of your product so don’t try. Instead, keep it tightly focused on one theme throughout the headline, picture and description.

4, Start with CPC, then move to CPM. By starting your campaigns with cost per click, you’re discovering what people will click on. Once you’ve got your campaign fine tuned, you can back it out to cost per thousand impressions (CPM) for a lower overall cost to you.

5. Set your initial spending limits low. While you’re testing you want to be careful – sometimes Facebook advertising comes in like a dripping faucet, and at other times it’s more like a fully opened fire hose. By setting your initial spending limits low you can see which campaigns are making you money and then increase your daily limit on those.

Facebook makes it easier than ever to reach your perfect customer. Implement these simple tips with your Facebook advertising, and get better results right out of the gate.

stocks under 10

Penny stocks, also known as cent stocks in some countries, are common shares of small public companies that trade at low prices per share.
In the United States, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) defines a penny stock as a security that trades below $5-per-share, is not listed on a national exchange, and fails to meet other specific criteria. In the United Kingdom, stocks priced under £1 are called penny shares.
Prosecutors and the Federal Bureau of Investigation say that fraud is widespread in the penny stock market. Even though the penny stock companies are small, the scams that involve them can be for tens of millions of dollars.
In the case of many penny stocks, low market price inevitably leads to low market capitalization. Such stocks can be highly volatile and subject to manipulation by stock promoters and pump and dump schemes. Such stocks present a high risk for investors, who are often lured by the hope of large and quick profits. Penny stocks in the US are often traded over-the-counter on the OTC Bulletin Board, or Pink Sheets.
Another problem with the penny stock market is that it has little liquidity, so holders of shares in penny stock companies often find it difficult for them to cash out of positions.
In the United States, the SEC and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) have specific rules to define and regulate the sale of penny stocks.
